ABOUT ME

I’ve been building things my whole life. Whether it was trinkets for my mom in my dad’s cabinet shop, pens to raise turkeys and pigs, the latest greatest tree fort, or dams in the overflow irrigation ditch in front of the house.

 It’s something I’m compelled to do, and do well.

I got my first “real” construction job –for a commercial general contractor- when I was 19, and quickly realized I needed to work for myself. I was lucky enough to have a mentor in a good carpenter, who encouraged me to get my contractor’s license when I was 21. That was more than 25 years ago, and I still love building things.

Since then I’ve built everything from custom homes, commercial buildings, custom furniture, cabinets, doors, windows and even hay barns. Currently my focus is on fine interior carpentry.

In my free time, I can be found in the mountains with skis or hiking boots under my feet or on wilderness rivers with a raft under me.
